    (i know im very childish :| )

  3. It depends on the size.

  4. how much blood pressure do the penis need?

  5. the same way. It’s HTN induced by pregnancy due to an increase production of blood for the developing fetus. This isn’t good though. We give MgSO4 for this condition to lower BP because this can be a precursor to pre-eclampsia

  6. the constriction-causing enzyme. Calcium channel blocker medication will also relax the heart therefore decreasing systolic pressure.

  7. There’s two parts to the BP. The Systolic which directly reflects the cardiac output, that is the amount of blood the heart exerts per beat and the diastolic is related to the blood vessel. Low diastolic pressure indicates vasodilation while high indicates constriction. That number indeed is high. What John said is true. ACE is an enzyme that contributes in vasoconstriction. ACE inhibitors are medications that will inhibit ACE resulting in dilation from inhibition of

  12. Dear Iwoveu,
I assume this is your Dads first pressure (i.e. his systolic pressure)? If it is then things are very treatable for him. He needs some medicines called ACE inhibitors, unless his doctor prefers another type of drug. As long as he takes these he should be fine. There is no need for you to worry. Just make sure he goes to a doctor for these medicines and do not worry,

  13. hi im an 11 year old girl and my dad has a pressure of 165 i dont know what happend please please tell me how to solve this sir thank you

  14. Pride comes before the fall….the problem in health care is it that others feel the pain of the fall, even although the pride is our.

  15. i learned that in gym class

  16. This explains why BP will remain elevated during sleep in renin excess hypertension. if the cause is more psychogenic the BP will fall during sleep, as it does in some patients,
    John

  17. Thank you for your encouraging feedback. It is of course always essential to remember humans are is essence a profound mystery. We are mind, body, soul and our social and family environment. I am keen not to over state the importance of one component of our humanity over another. However, we know that the ANS can function in the absence of the conscious brain during anesthesia, and that renin is the major cause of hypertension.

  18. I agree with Dr Anand
The Bio-Mechnical model of human existance has been over come by the psycho-bio-mechanical model. You must have heard of PsychoNeuroImmunology.
Yours a 4th yr medical student from Newcastle

  19. Some of us believe in the motor car model of the Human. I know the body is how the mind manufactures it! I have dozens of pts who have reduced or cured their bp through HeartMath. My 82 year old mother is one of them (cured of bp after 35 yrs of drug treatment). The Indian Air Force is researching Heart math for hypertension. Imperial College London is setting up this method to reduce stress in pregnant mums to reduce stress in the new born. This is modern science. Dr Anand MBBS MRCGP

  20. I do not know what the evidence for the pivitol role of psychological stress in hypetension is. I do not think there is any to say it is a principle long term factor. The main long term determinant in primary hypertension is renin secretion by the kidney. There is firm evidence for this. This is why ACE inhibitors are so effective,
    John

  21. Interesting comments. The main long term determinant of systemic arterial BP is renin secretion and the subsequent angiotensinogen/ angeotensin / aldosterone mechanism. Neuronal regulation is only short term, on a second by second basis, as mediated by the baroreceptor medullary pathways. Hypertension is not a symptom it is a sign.

  22. Blood Pressure is measured ad nauseum and now even at home (which is more meaningful)
Blood pressure is through excessive sympathetic Fight or flight drive.
Blood Pressure is a symptom: not a disease.
If you successfully reduce your stress levels you permanently reduce Blood pressure: no doctors, no nurses, no drugs, no costs, no side effects and ++ patient empowerment.

    Dr Anand MBBS MRCGP

  23. Great Video
Treatment is NOT medication longterm: it is stress relief

  27. By the way, the doctor never told me what my blood pressure was, he only said it was high.
I fired him, and feel good with no meds.

  28. I’m 66, was put on blood pressure med. Started getting chest pains, and shaking, my whole body would shake.
So I bought a home blood pressure test kit. Found out I was way low 100-60. Stopped taking the med. over 3 months time, reducing the dose a little at a time.
Now with no med. I’m 130-80 in the morning when I get up, and by night, It’s down to 120-75, and sometimes lower.
I thing blood pressure helps some, but kills a lot of others.
By the way, no chest pains since stopping the med.!

  29. i have 120 / 79 and 76 hearthits

  30. Although on prescription drugs my wifes blood pressure remainder at the top end of normal. After taking Levodyn for three months the improvement has been significant and she intends to carry on with Levodyn as a really helpful supplement.

  31. you need to go to your Doctors. he may prescribe you a blood pressure medicine to lower your diastolic number. what has your systolic number been? have you been experiencing headaches or dizziness on standing? i would defiantly suggest going to your doctors as soon as you can. I do not mean to frighten you but serious health issues may accure if you do not seek out medical attention.

  32. my diastolic pressure has been 100, for atleast 6mth, what can i do, or eat to have a normal diastolic…..

  33. I have already suffered 2 heart attack & have what my phsyican calls dangerously high triglycerides & LDL, and i was told that if i do not get these levels under control i will have another. This did frighten me and i knew i needed to do something to reverse this damage. I knew plant sterols were powerful so i tried Sterolyn, and i’m very proud to say that my triglycerides have gone from 512 all the way down to 155. LDL count down from 240 to 132. Great product.
